Built for your working day

Start with a piece you already know.

Choose a watch or ring from your stock book. We show your team its reference, purchase details, photographs, price and location in Stockbox. Then work through a sale or a repair together. Familiar jobs are a practical way to learn the system.

  • Use examples from your working day
  • Agree which existing records to prepare

The detail that matters

Give familiar records a place your team can find.

The stock book becomes a product record

Keep the piece’s reference, attributes, price and location together. Use quantities for repeat lines and individual records for one-off jewellery and watches.

The repair envelope gains a history

Record condition notes and photographs at booking. Follow the job’s location, status and updates, then capture the customer’s signature at collection.

The buying agreement stays with the purchase

Keep seller details, payment records, supporting documents and signatures with the buy-in. Print the agreement when you need a paper copy.

A sale you can look back at

Record the customer, items, agreed prices and payment methods together. Keep the receipt with the transaction for the next customer conversation.

A practical way to work

A first move, with people alongside you.

  1. Show us your records

Bring the stock book, spreadsheets and a typical repair envelope. We agree the first tasks you want to improve.

  2. Prepare what matters

Agree the stock and open work to bring across. We scope spreadsheet preparation and any manual entry your paper records need.

  3. Check and practise

Review sample records in a test setup. Train your team on finding stock, recording a sale and following a repair.

  4. Choose the changeover

Agree the final stock check, timing and where older records will remain accessible. Launch with personal support.

From people in the trade

You do not have to learn it on your own.

Our team includes jewellers and watch dealers. We visit your shop, explain the daily tasks and give you one month’s free demo-store access before agreeing the live setup.

A small team has made the move

James Ross Jewellers replaced paper records with Stockbox and made its first online sale four weeks after its website launched.

A few practical questions

Know how it will work.

Do we have to digitise every old stock book?

We agree the scope with you. Current stock and open work are sensible starting points; older books may remain as an archive. Decide what needs entering and how your team will find the remaining history.

Can you import our spreadsheets?

We review the columns and records, prepare the agreed data and test how it maps into Stockbox. Your team checks sample references, descriptions, prices and quantities before launch.

Can Stockbox read handwritten records automatically?

We plan the preparation and manual entry needed for paper records; automatic handwriting conversion is not part of the move described here. Any data-entry service is scoped with you in advance.

Can we still print paperwork?

Yes. Stockbox supports printable buying agreements, sales receipts and repair paperwork. You can also print location stock lists for a physical stock check.

Do we need to launch a website at the same time?

We agree the scope and sequence around your priorities. Tell us whether the first concern is stock, sales or repairs, and we will explain the appropriate package and when online selling could fit.

Will we need to stop trading during the move?

Preparation and training take place before the agreed launch. We plan the final data update and any changeover window with you, based on how your shop currently works.
